Archipelago (2026)

“I can change through exchanging with others, without losing or diluting my sense of self” - Édouard Glissant.

This work is inspired by Édouard Glissant’s theory of the archipelago — a form of non-hierarchal creolisation that resists colonial power structures and continental thinking in favour of rhizomatic growth and exchange. The work embodies the notion of a future of cultural exchange and mutual empowerment for First Nations peoples across the globe.
